Your blazer/suit jacket/sport coat, or whatever you want to call it, has pockets. These are not decorations. Carefully cut them open (since they are usually sewn shut on a new jacket) and use them!
Remember that clothing, from its origin, was designed for utility. Not only does it cover your nudy parts, but it also keeps you warm, comfortable and holds your everyday nick-nacks. With that said, there is something classy and stylish about a man who knows how to "use" his clothes the way they were designed to be "used". Think of it this way; pants are meant to fit at the waist, which explains why your young hipster cousin looks foolish (and looks like he is trying way to hard to be rebelliously "cool") when he sags his pants down below his ass.
On one of my (and probably also your) favorite street style bogs, The Sartorialist, photographer Scott Schuman frequently shoots his male subjects with their hands in their jacket pockets. See below.

So whether you use them to store your camera or your keys, or just to keep your hands warm as the temperature creeps lower, open up the pockets and get the most out of your jacket.
Yours in style, SB.

Another focus of suits? The use of pins! We've been seeing this look in other countries.. using a pin as a statement, or even as a slimming piece. Here's what it looks like.. www.bellesandbulls.com/bbblog

Best quote I've read in a long time. Sad to say, being a college student in SoCal makes this sort of thing the norm around campus. As for you though, keep up the good work, your blog is a great read!
I respectfully beg to differ. The material and cut of modern dress jackets is not made to hold heavy hands.
You'll notice that after a while of placing your hands in your pockets that your pockets will sag, your jacket's sholders will look stretched and your top jacket button will have probably popped from the strain put on them.
Best keep your hands to your side or folded behind you, as putting them in any pocket is bad form.
hi... just found your blog browsing for jacket styles. would like to say that i agree with Original Sin - as i've heard, holding stuff in your pockets will make them sag quickly.
so i guess if you can afford buying a new one, then go ahead, otherwise not.
im open to corrections though :)
